1. CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEES

After consultation with members, your Committee has decided to increase yearly 

Membership Fees (which are payable on or after 1st April) as follows:

      Flying Members $100 PA

      Social Members $50 PA

Also, if fees are paid by the 1st April these will not be payable again until 30th June 2025

NOTE: Fees can be paid by Direct Deposit

Your Committee has based its decision to increase fees on the following:

A) There has not been an increase in club fees since 1912. Note: Our fees  are still well below most other flying clubs. EG Hastings and Armidale Clubs

B) An increase in maintenance costs on TDK

C) A proposed  increase in lease fees payable to council

D) A reduction in overall monthly hours flown by TDK


2. TDK AUDIO PANEL INSTALL

This will necessitate the flying of TDK to Cessnock next Sat/Sun. The aircraft will be unavailable for hirer from Sat 18th  until Sunday 24th March


3. OPEN DAY AT KEMPSEY AIRPORT

On Sunday, the 5th May, there will be an Open Day held at the airport to promote both the airport and aviation in general.

An invitation will be extended for the  following organisations/persons to participate:

a) Nearby Aero Clubs (Fly In)

b) Air Force Cadets

b) RAAF Air Cadets Diamond Aircraft

c) Local aircraft owners

d) Sky Aces jets (Demo flight)

e) Fly Past by John Tobone's Steerman

f) Sport Fly Aviation

g) Vintage Car and Motor Cycle club display

Entry by the public  will be by gold coin donation. Drinks and refreshments (BBQ) available on the day with competition prize of a joy flight in TDK.


4. FUEL FACILITY

Aero Refuellers be approached to provide a battery blower for facility to assist in cleaning


5)  "Feed" Fees

As from this Sunday, anyone who wishes to participate in the culinary delights of one Maureen Knight shall be charged $10 per person.

 Maureen has been providing these delights out of her own pocket for many Sundays. Only fair she is reimbursed for expenses incurred.


6) SUBMISSION TO KEMPSEY COPUNCIL RE CLUB LEASE FEES

The club, submit to Council for consideration, a submission outlining the case for lease fees for its hangar and clubrooms being reduced to a reasonable and affordable amount for the club.


7. LOCAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS

 The club consider running candidates on a ticket promoting the financial sustainability of public assets such as the airport and community swimming pools in the forthcoming local Council Election in Sept this year.


8. THE GREAT KEMPSEY AIR RACE

This to go ahead on  Oct long weekend  this year. Details to follow.

NEXT CLUB COMPETITION DAY

9. Sunday, 7th April. (Weather Permitting) Family BBQ to follow. BBQ $10 PP

Guess what? New audio panel in TDK equals good radio reception/transmission equals Kempsey Airport being controlled airspace as an exercise again for members willing to participate.

Max cost to participants for Aircraft Hire will be $55.

1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes will be a  visit to Coffs Harbour Control Tower.
